How Much Do Your Services Cost?

Our résumé fees are based on our experience as to the average time it takes to write a résumé, which is about three hours. Our job coaching fees are charged at an an hourly rate.

Why do you charge more than my local typing service?

First, we're a résumé writing service. We put a lot more work into each résumé, spending an average of three hours on each project. Most of our résumé writers type at 75 words per minute or better. If we were simply retyping your résumé, we could finish it in less than an hour. Second, we have 18+ years of experience. Third, we spend a lot of time maintaining awareness of the latest résumé and job search trends. We participate in ongoing training opportunities provided by 3 professional organizations, including annual training conventions, online classes, e-mail list servers, review of relevant publications, and much more. Your résumé is not just a typing job, but an investment in your future. If a professionally prepared résumé helps you secure a better-paying job, the return on that investment is high. However, if price is your main concern, we may not be the right choice for you.

How Do I Setup an Appointment?

Our fees are 50% lower than the résumé writing industry average. Because we are a 100% web-based résumé writing service, our operating costs are lower, creating cost savings we can pass on to you. We don't meet with clients face-to-face. We've been successfully doing business with job search clients in this manner for more than 10 years. Our fees do include six months of unlimited email support following completion of your resume. Phone support is available for a nominal fee.

What is your process for developing résumés?

Here's the answer.

How long does it take for you to complete my résumé?

That really depends on how quickly you respond to our request(s) for information. Because we usually have a number of pending résumés ahead of yours at any given time, we usually complete your first draft in 5 business days or less. Rush service is available, but doubles your résumé fee because overtime is required to complete your project more quickly.

I've already got a résumé; can't you just retype it?

Approximately 95% of the résumés we receive for critique or revision are below standard, and require significant work to transform them into dynamic personal marketing documents. It is in your best interest to think of your résumé as more than a typing job. Instead, it is a personal marketing document that must be powerfully written, perfectly formatted, and absolutely free of all grammar and spelling errors. Your résumé's content should do more than simply describe your job duties. Creating such a document takes several hours of work.

I don't have a résumé--can you help me?

Of course! Regardless of whether you're located nearby or across the country, we have proven methods for developing a winning résumé "from scratch," just for you.

Should my résumé be one or two pages?

A common myth about résumés is that they must, at all costs, be one page. That is simply not true, as numerous surveys of human resource professionals have shown. The appropriate length of your résumé is determined by a variety of factors, including your years of experience, the quality of your experience, and your job objectives.

What other services do you offer?

We offer a variety of services to meet your career management needs, including career coaching.

Can you help me with my electronic job search?

Yes, we can! In fact, because we are an Internet-based résumé service, we are uniquely qualified to assist you in this area.

Where are you located?

Our physical address is provided on our Contact Us page. However, because we do business with clients nationwide via phone, e-mail, fax, U.S. mail, and FedEx, our physical location is not important. We've been doing business this way since early 1999, as have many of our résumé writing colleagues. The quality of our clients' résumés has not suffered, and they appreciate the convenience of avoiding travel time and multiple appointments.

What happens if I'm dissatisfied with your services?

We follow up with all clients within 3 months of résumé completion, and have consistently achieved customer satisfaction ratings of approximately 93 percent in these surveys. The primary reason for client dissatisfaction is inadequate utilization of all appropriate job search techniques, such as networking, or mediocre interviewing skills. However, customer service is our top priority. While we cannot grant refunds for résumé writing services that have already been performed, we will work with you to ensure your résumé is getting results. We're also governed by the ethics codes of the Professional Association of résumé Writers and Career Coaches. If we fail to abide by these codes, we can lose our résumé writing certifications and even our membership. Furthermore, if we abuse our privileges as a PayPal merchant, we can lose them.

Can I View Samples of Your Work?
