About Résumés For Less
Helping Job Hunters Since 1989
Résumés for Less was founded in 1989 by Gwen Harrison. What began as a word processing and résumé writing service grew until, in 1998, Mrs. Harrison decided to focus on résumé writing. She launched a website, and began working with clients from all over the U.S. In 2000, Mrs. Harrison's work was selected for inclusion in the 2001 edition of Martin Yate's book, Résumés That Knock 'Em Dead. She also served as the résumé expert for the Institute for Supply Chain Management.
Following her husband's layoff, Mrs. Harrison closed her business for a time to accept a job with Synovus Financial Corporation. She continued to help friends and acquaintances with their résumés and job searches.
Gwen Harrison's husband accepted a job with Boeing in 2004. In 2007, due to family considerations, Mrs. Harrison decided it was time to execute her plans to one day become an entrepreneur again. Running her own business gives her the flexbility she needs to better assist her aging parents, and plans to stay in the résumé writing business until she retires.
About Our Subcontractors
When required, we hire qualified Certified Professional Résumé Writers to help us meet our clients' needs. Subcontractors are carefully screened, do not work directly with our clients, and do not have access to your credit card information. We review and approve their work before submitting it to you, the client. All subcontractors are required to sign an agreement that covers, among other things, the protection of clients' sensitive personal information. We take your privacy and its protection seriously.
